Business value

The integration of Project ESG Reporting (preview) with Business Central streamlines the reporting process by automatically making the calculated emissions in Business Central available within Project ESG Reporting (preview). It reduces the manual effort of entering data, ensuring more accurate and efficient compliance with regulatory requirements.

Feature details

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central's integration with Project ESG Reporting (preview) provides a solution for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to meet complex ESG reporting requirements with greater ease. By allowing users to access and map sustainability metrics directly from Business Central into Project ESG Reporting, this integration simplifies compliance with sustainability standards such as Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

This solution includes:

  • Integration of scope 1, scope 2, and scope 3 emission metrics from the Sustainability Account table in Business Central into Project ESG Reporting (preview).

  • Ability to map metrics from Business Central to existing concepts in Project ESG Reporting (preview).

  • Creation of necessary facts with metric values and association with mapped concepts and to an assessment.

To use this solution, you need to perform these steps:

  1. Link the Business Central environment to the Project ESG Reporting (preview) Dataverse environment, and then enable the API.

  2. Map the Business Central metrics to concepts and concept links in Project ESG Reporting (preview).

  3. Open the assessment, and then select the Import Business Central Metrics button on the command bar to create necessary facts and associate them with concepts and assessment requirements.
