Business value
The sovereignty policy baseline provides organizations with a straightforward method to configure multiple Azure policies in a manner that addresses recommended best practices for data sovereignty. The sovereignty policy baseline does so by supporting appropriate usage and configurations within various Azure offerings that store or process customer data.
Feature details
The sovereignty policy baseline consists of several policy sets designed to help customers achieve their data sovereignty goals. They allow customers to configure controls around data residency, Microsoft operator access to customer data, encryption of customer data (at rest, in transit and in use), and usage of customer managed keys to ensure they maintain exclusive control over access to their data.
