Business value
Retailers often encounter the challenge of replacing over half of their store staff yearly. This is especially true for retailers that experience significant fluctuations in sales volume during peak seasons and therefore need to hire temporary or seasonal workers. As a result, constantly training new employees on products and services can be difficult. The copilot template for store operations, driven by generative AI models, can create a transformative impact on retail workforce management. As frontline workers, these employees represent the face of the store, often required to offer quick answers to customer inquiries and challenges, albeit being unfamiliar with store guidelines and procedures. Retailers can automate the reporting of incidents, triggered by a simple chat/voice message, which will facilitate timely support, just like reaching out to a personal assistant or colleague for help. By using existing technology, we can also translate communications, and overcome language barriers seamlessly. Particularly in current economic times, reducing seconds per task can add up to critical cost savings, while helping to alleviate the struggle with employee retention.
Feature details
The copilot template for store operations empowers retail store employees to get answers to their questions from retailer's knowledge base and automate task creation for fellow colleagues. Data managers or IT admins need to configure settings in Azure portal and Store Operations Assist Admin portal to enable the copilot template for store operations.
The copilot template has two unique features:
Q&A using unstructured data such as documents.
Automatic task creation using voice or text input. Store employees can use both the features using voice commands and typing the question.
