Install Factory Operations Agent in Copilot Studio

Important

Factory Operations Agent in Copilot Studio (preview) requires registration and is currently only available to approved customers and partners during the preview period. Request configuration support to Factory Operations Agent in Copilot Studio (preview) during the preview period by completing the Allowlist request form.

Prerequisites

To install the Factory Operations Agent in Copilot Studio, you need:

  • A Copilot Studio tenant administrator account. For more information, see Assign licenses and manage access to Copilot Studio.
  • A subscription to the Factory Operations Agent in Azure AI and dependent services, which provides the backend service for this agent.
  • Access to the Solutions Center from where the deployment process is triggered.

Install Factory Operations Agent

Follow these steps to install the Factory Operations Agent in Copilot Studio:

  1. Go to Copilot Studio to start the deployment process. Make sure you select the right environment in the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Under the featured section, select Factory Operations (preview).
  3. The agent installation process starts in the selected environment. Enter the following details and select Install:
    • Name: Proposed name of the application in your organization.
    • Description: Customize based on your audience and scenarios.
    • Instructions: Customize the instructions based on your use cases.
    • Knowledge: The Microsoft Learn documentation for the Factory Operations Agent in Azure AI is already added as the knowledge source. Don't change or modify this source.
    • Topics: By default, there are a few relevant topics for Guided Conversations. You can adapt the topics like 'Greeting' based on your organization's policies and guidelines.

After you install the agent, the setup page opens. You need to make some configurations to make the agent available to your factory employees. For more information, see Set up and publish Factory Operations Agent in Copilot Studio.
