Copy a note or document reference

You can copy notes and document references from one record to one or more other records. For example, you can complete the following tasks:
Copy a note from one sales order to another sales order.
Copy a note from a sales order to an inventory transaction.
Copy a document reference from one customer to several other customers.
Copy a note from one record to another
Select a record that contains the note or document reference to copy.
Click File > Command > Document handling.
In the Document handling form, select the note to copy.
Click Functions > Copy.
Keep the Document handling form open, and select the record to copy the note to.
In the Document handling form, click Functions > Paste.
Note
To copy notes and document references to another record that is in another form, open the second form, and select a record. Then, in the Document handling form, click Functions > Paste.
Copy a note from one record to several other records
Select a record that contains the note or document reference to copy.
Click File > Command > Document handling.
In the Document handling form, select the note to copy.
Click Functions > Copy.
To copy the note to several records, use one of the following methods:
To select nonadjacent records in the active form, select one record, press and hold the CTRL key, and then select each additional record.
To select adjacent records in the active form, select the first record in the sequence, press and hold the SHIFT key, and then select the last record in the sequence.
In the Document handling form, click Functions > Paste to all.
