Add property logs
After you associate properties with customer assets, you can log specific values of a property to build a history of its values.
Log a property value
- In Dynamics 365 Field Service, select the Settings area.
- Under Asset Properties, select Property Definitions.
- Select a property.
- Select Related > Property Logs.
- Select New Property Log.
- Search for and select the customer asset.
- By default, the Reading Time field is set to the current date and time. You change the value to reflect the actual date and time when the value was read.
- In the Value field, enter the value of the property at the reading time.
- Select Save and Close.
To add a new value to the property history, add another property log.
In the following example, some RAM was added to a laptop. The original value of the RAM (GB) property was 8.00.
