Business value
The production floor execution interface helps workers manage and record production activities. It helps improve throughput, decrease scrap and defect ratios, and reduce work in progress.
Feature details
The new production floor execution interface provides workers with a new user experience for shop floor execution. The new interface serves the same function as the current job card device and job card terminal but provides a redesigned and modern user interface that is optimized for touch interaction. It also adds the following new features:
Work on multiple jobs: Shop floor workers can select and start multiple jobs at the same time or start a new job while continuing to work on already started jobs.
Device-based configuration: Configuration of the shop floor execution interface works differently compared to the job card device and job card terminal. Instead of associating each application user with a configuration, the configuration is now associated with the web browser running on a device. On opening the page for the first time in a browser, a user with a supervisor role selects the configuration and a preferred filter. Then, each time a worker signs in to the shop floor execution interface on this device, these references are fetched and applied.
