By default this method returns S_OK.

This method is called when the window associated with this view becomes active. This method then sets the various parts of the status bar to reflect the current conditions of this view by calling the respective methods of the <xref:Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Interop.>SetInfo interface, such as <xref:Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Interop.%2A>assetId:///IVsStatusbar?qualifyHint=False&autoUpgrade=TrueSetInfo SetInfo and <xref:Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Interop.%2A>assetId:///IVsStatusbar?qualifyHint=False&autoUpgrade=TrueSetInfo.
