Understanding data capabilities

Data capabilities define the fundamental conceptual building blocks used in many data-related. The articles in this section describe the concepts and characteristics behind each data capability, and they provide specific implementations using various Azure services, programming languages and usage.

The data playbook uses capability maps to organize different capabilities as shown below:

Data lifecycle Stages grouping shows the different stages of data while moving from its origin to the consumption layer. The end-to-end flow is supported by a set of capabilities grouped under Data System Common Components/Capabilities.
