Hyper-V SR-IOV Overview
This wiki article is a concatenation of the information in the 8-part SR-IOV blog series by John Howard on the Microsoft Hyper-V team. The Beta release of Windows Server “8” includes support for Single-Root Input/Output (I/O) Virtualization (SR-IOV). SR-IOV is a standard defined by the PCI Special Interest Group that describes how a PCI Express device can be constructed so that it works well with modern virtualization solutions.
