MCITP: Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008
The Enterprise Administrator on Windows Server 2008 certification is for IT professionals who are responsible for the overall Windows Server 2008 R2 environment and architecture. They translate business goals into technology decisions and design mid-range to long-term strategies. Enterprise adminstrators also make key decisions and recommendations about the following:
- Network infrastructure
- Directory services, identity management, and authentication
- Security policies
- Business continuity (disaster recovery, personell, equipment, and data)
- Design of IT administrative structure (delegation models)
- Best practices, standards, and service level agreements (SLAs)
They are responsible for infrastructure design and global configuration changes. An enterprise administrators job role involves 20 percent operations, 60 percent engineering, and 20 percent support tasks.
