FIM Troubleshooting: FIMMA export PermissionDeniedException

PROBLEM STATEMENT

You are exporting to objects to the FIM Portal.  The objects do not export, and produce and error failed-creation-via-webservices.  You click on the error link, and then the Detail button to reveal the true error message.

ERROR MESSAGE

 

CAUSE

In this issue, we discovered that the account specified in the FIM Service Management agent was not the account specified during the installation. 

We utilized the steps in this document to validate the account being used in the FIM Service Management Agent.

RESOLUTION

We updated the FIM Service Management Agent to reflect the user account specified in the SynchronizationServiceAccount Property in the HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\FIMService Windows Registry Key.
