Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 At A Glance

Over the past year I was following up and keep myself updated regarding the new version of Microsoft Dynamics AX, recently Microsoft have launched Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. If you are Functional Consultant used to the previous version Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 you will find very interesting changes in this release Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, that will give you more power in the implementation phases, in addition to customer adoption to Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
In this post I am sharing the high level first look at Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. First changes are in the interface which has been changed to be simpler and user friendly at all levels.
Second changes are in logical distribution of business functions among modules, which gives control which complying the basis of segregation of duties at end user level, in addition to new modules which serve important business functions.
There are some functions have been separated to another modules such as AP in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 was covering AP – Financial activities, and Purchasing activities, in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 AP is covering Financial activities, and Procurement module is covering Procurement activities.
