Exchange 2016 Troubleshooting: Event ID 12035 - MSExchange Transport

In my lab I came across the following error below that logs twice in a day, the error is listed below: https://www.collaborationpro.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/image-14.png

The first thing to check are all the certificates on Exchange 2016.

  • can you see anything wrong with any certificate, 
  • Check if they are all showing in the store and valid.

Solution

In this error it was pointing to the local Exchange certificate, creating it and removing the old one seem to make no difference, I wonder if this is not a glitch in Exchange 2016 CU17?
