Troubleshooting: Unable to Install Office 365 - Error Code 0-1012 (0)

Symptoms

When you try to install Office 365, or Office 2019, 2016 or 2013, it fails and you get the error 0-1012 (0):

Resolution

1. First of all, check the free space in your hard drive and your internet connection as the error itself suggests. You can connect to a different network and try the installation again.
2. Run Office Uninstall Support Tool to remove any existing Office installations and to clean up any broken Office files remaining from the failed installation attempts:

3. The most common reason behind this problem is reportedly the corruptions with the user profile. Create a new Windows user, or switch to an already existing one, and try again:
