How to import SCCM custom report

Today we going to talk about reporting server and how to add a custom report to SCCM report server. In this step by step wiki, my report server is 2016 and my SCCM is current branch version. If you are using another version of report server don’t be worry about it because all the concepts and steps are the same.

  • The first step is to copy the rdl file (Custom report) to a folder. In this wiki my custom report is “All attached printers” and it is in a folder in my desktop.

  • Now you have to open your browser and enter your report server name with /reports. My report server is SCCM-RS01.

  • Now you are ready to create a folder to upload your report. It is optional to create folder and you can upload your custom report to built-in reports folder. For having a folder all you have to do in this step is click on “New” button and create a folder and name it whatever you like. I created a folder and named it MyCustom Reports.

  • If you click on created folder or your destination folder, you can see that you can upload something in it and it is what we’ve waiting for. If we click on upload, we can navigate to custom report location and upload it.

  • It is almost done, but before using our report we have to change data source. To do that, select manage on uploaded file.

  • Now you can go to the data source tab and browse for data source.

  • After all of the above steps and selecting data source, you can open your SCCM management console and see the beautiful report that we've uploaded.
