Outlook Troubleshooting: how to remove birthday calendars from view
Introduction
Ever noticed the "Birthday Calendar" in Outlook?
Are you using it? If not, you might want to remove it from the calendar view.
Steps to remove the Birthday Calendar from the Outlook view
To remove the birthday calendar from the Outlook view, you can't change it from the Outlook client, but you need to change the setting online.
Office Online
Via admin view (Portal
Go to Office 365 online, (e.g. https://portal.office.com) and login to Outlook Web Access.
Then, in the upper right corner, click the setting button.
In the Settings option, click the Calendar App settings (not the "Calendar Appearance" option).
Alternatively, in the settings, you can click the options button.
Then, in the left-hand menu, navigate to the calendar settings, down below.
Check the "Turn off the birthday calendar" option.
Via direct URL
https://outlook.office.com/calendar/options/calendar/view/birthdayCalendar
Then hit the save option, and the next time your Outlook synchronized the data, the Birthday calendar should be gone from the list.
