WSUS Troubleshooting on Server 2016

WSUS 2016 server crashes the IIS application pool

APP POOL and memory needed

  1. Open IIS
  2. Navigate to the application pools
  3. Right click the WSUSPool and select 'advanced settings'
  4. Set the  Private Memory Limit  to to 7843200
  5. Restart IIS, I use iisreset from the command line
  6. Restart WSUSservice   net stop wsusservice  net stop wsuscertserver

WSUS 2016 server does not download update files
Windows firewall service must be running
