How to Restore a User Account in Office 365?
Microsoft Office 365 comes with the feature of restoring user account, which has been deleted before 30 days. When you restore the same account within a period of 30 days, entire data and other important information get restored. The user has access of his work or school account. Two more important things to be remembered is having Office 365 license that can be assigned to the account and seeing troubleshooting of deleted accounts, if your business uses Active Directory.
A few simple steps to restore one or more deleted accounts-
In order to restore data and account, you must have admin permission, which will allow you restoring data with these steps-
• Sign in to your admin account at https://portal.office.com/adminportal/home
• Go to the Admin Center and then select Deleted users

• The page will bring you a list of deleted users and select the one you want to store and then click Restore
• Now, follow the prompts to set the password
• Now the user is successfully restored and now you will need to click Send email and close
This is how you restore more than one user account without losing any part of information available with the account.
Restoring a user account with a name conflict
This problem occurs when you want to restore an account that has the same name which already exists in the list. If you delete an account, create new account with same name and then again try to restore deleted account, you may combat the problem of name conflict.
In order to fix this problem, you will need replacing the active account with one you are restoring. You can also assign a different user name to the account that you are storing so you don’t have two different accounts with the same name. To do this-
1. Sign in with your admin account at https://portal.office.com/adminportal/home.
2. Go to Users > Deleted users, in Admin Center
3. Now, on the deleted user page, select the names you want to store and click restore
4. Now follow the instructions that are shown on Restore page
5. Do one thing when a problem in restoring the account occurs. Cancel the restored or rename current active user OR, type new primary email address for the user and click restore
6. Review the results and then select close
Now restore the user name that has name conflict!
Restoring a user account with proxy address conflict-
This problem occurs when you want to restore an account that had proxy address, exactly same with another account. To fix these issues, follow these simple steps-
1. Sign in with your admin account at https://portal.office.com/adminportal/home.
2. Go to Users > Deleted users, in Admin Center
3. Now, on the deleted user page, select the names you want to store and click restore
4. Now follow the instructions that are shown on Restore page
5. Conflicting proxy address will automatically be removed from the user that is being restored, after clicking Restore button
6. Review the results and then select close
Now restore the user name with proxy address conflict!
