Sharepoint: Disable the add new item at the bottom of a List view

How to disable the + button at the bottom of a view in list view.

Solution

Please follow the below steps to disable the item.

  1. Open list View and select Edit Page.
  2. After that, select "Announcement Web Part menu" from right-top corner of list and then Select Edit "Web Part",
  3. After that list view, web part properties appear.
  4. Select Toolbar Type “No Toolbar” from drop down and select OK button.
