BizTalk Server: Supported Upgrade Paths and Installation Guides

Introduction

This article lists the BizTalk supported upgrade paths and Visual Studio versions. Yes means it's supported. No means it's not supported. Supported means that the version has been tested by the BizTalk product group. If it's not supported, that version has not been tested.

Supported migration paths for BizTalk projects to Visual Studio

Using Visual Studio conversion, you can convert projects to newer Visual Studio versions. The following table lists the supported migration paths when converting BizTalk Server projects to new Visual Studio versions.

Visual Studio 2008 and 2005 include a Visual Studio Conversion Wizard. In newer Visual Studio versions, the conversion is automatic. For example, when you open a Visual Studio 2010 project in Visual Studio 2013, your are automatically prompted to convert the project to the new version. You can also have multiple versions of Visual Studio installed side-by-side on the same computer.
