Shut Down PC Through Slide To Shutdown

This is an interesting way to shut down your PC. It is similar to Windows 8 Phone shut down-just slide downward to shut down. This is called *SlideToShutDown. *Here are simple steps to do this:

  1. Press Win + R Keys to launch Run menu.

  1. In Run menu type in C:\Windows\System32\ and hit the Enter Key.

  2. Now scroll down to locate SlideToShutDown.

  1. Right-click it and if you like to rename you can opt for Rename option. You can also opt for Pin to Start.

  1. Now right-click the newly created tile on your metro-styled desktop and select Open file location... (C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs)

  2. Right-click the shortcut of the application and select Properties. Select Change Icon tab under Shortcut to change the icon image.

7. After changing the icon it looks like the following image.

  1.  Now click the icon. Drag your finger down the display to turn off your PC or, drag the mouse downward to shut down.
