SCOM 2012: Monitoring if your Mail server is black listed

  1. Open the SCOM console. Highlight Authoring and Click ManagementPack Temp > Web Application Availability Monitoring.
  2. Click Add Monitor Wizard
  3. From Add Monitor Wizard page choose Web Application Availability Monitoring 
  4. On Add Monitor Wizard Write a friendly name for URL monitor
  5. On What to Monitor page Write a name for URL monitor, URL that want to be monitored. > using SpamHaus web site  http://www.spamhaus.org and putting real ip ,, then copy the URL and got it to monitor   http://www.spamhaus.org/query/ip/REALIP
  6. On Where to Monitor from page Add from where to monitor the URL monitor >>you can add from any server that has SCOM client installed
  7. On View and Validate Tests Click the Change Configuration then select Content Match and write the Content to be checked if found will raise an alert > <<<<<XX.XX.XX.XX  is listed in the>>>>> That will raise Alert if the page contains these sentence Replace XX.XX.XX.XX with the realIP Then click OK > Create.
