Why DocAve?
Our Need is a Central Point
Our SharePoint Platform has been designed to support multiple Public Facing Internet sites. A great example is http://www.agrealestate.eu/en/Pages/default.aspx
http://gokanx.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/docave_55.png?w=600&h=385
The Public Facing Internet sites are hosted on a DMZ zone so there is no access to SharePoint Logs, no access to IIS Server or the Central Administration. The only way is to connect via MSTSC in a special domain. Not a problem until there, but in the meanwhile if you have multiple servers load balanced with F5 and more than 15 developers this can be very annoying.
- Our need was a Central Point where we could manage our SharePoint Farms without any time loss.
- Our need was a Central Point where all SharePoint Developers could see all the settings in a READ-ONLY view.
- Our need was a Central Point where developers could first check the settings of the Managed Farm without opening a ticket for the 3line.
- …
Our need was simple a Central Point!
