Error:Could not find subkey System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSSQLFDLauncher$POWERPIVOT (SQL Server Failover Cluster and PowerPivot for SharePoint)
Issue:
You see an error message similar to the following when you attempt to add a new node in a SQL Server Failover cluster:
“Could not find subkey System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSSQLFDLauncher$POWERPIVOT”
Cause:
SQL Server Analysis Services in PowerPivot for SharePoint mode does not support SQL Server Fail Over Clusters. The first node you added to the failover cluster included PowerPivot for SharePoint in the feature selection. SQL Server setup will fail on the second node if PowerPivot for SharePoint was included in the first node**.**

Workaround:
Uninstall SQL Server on the first node. Run SQL Server Setup again to install PowerPivot as a standalone instance.
