Windows: Local Group Policy Editor

In Microsoft Windows there is a very useful tool that helps you to quickly edit avery important part in Windows behavior. It is named Local Group Policy Editor.

Generally some IT professionals like to make a fixed environment for the computers in the group. This tool will help them a lot.

How to Open it

Generally there are two ways.

1. GPEDIT.MSC

  1. a- open run...
  2. b- write "gpedit.msc"

 

2. Microsoft Management Console.

  1. a- open run...
  2. b- write "mmc"
  3. c- File -> Add / Remove snap in...
  4. d- choose : "Group Policy Object Editor" then click "Add >"
  5. e- in the dialogue that appears click finish.
  6. f- press OK
  7. g- finally double click on "Local Group Policy"
  8. h- You should see something like this :
