You Get an Alert that One or More Service Cannot be Started

Applied products:
Small Business Server 2011 Essentials, Windows Home Server 2011, Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials.

Symptom:
You get an alert that one or more service cannot be started, this may include backup service, monitoring service, etc.

Root cause:
An exception is thrown when calling Abort function in WCF layer during communications.
The WCF service module did not handle the CommunicationObject.Abort() properly.>

Solution:
Install following updates on both the Server and the Client computers in the network.
Update 4.0.3 for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 – Runtime Update
