Who are you, where are you, and what do you do? What are your specialty technologies?

I’m Chervine from Mauritius. During the past 12 years, I have been continuously and passionately playing with codes.

This passion have brought me to join the IT Industry since 3 years now and to experience different technologies and learn more every day. What make my life even more interesting is the opportunities to juggle easily with various technologies such as C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, Windows Phone and Microsoft and IBM Data-Warehousing tools in order to contribute to successfully complete project that help to make the life of people within enterprise easier.

At the end of the day, what makes me happy, is the fact that I use technology to create software, to meet people, to share my passion with like-minded people and make them discover how to use technology to creatively develop apps that contribute to make the life of people easier. Hence, I actively engage within different Communities, meetups, Devcamps, and also contributing to wikis/blogs that help me become a better Technology Leader.

What are your big projects right now?

This year has been really exciting so far with the Developers Conference, Global Azure Bootcamp and the Technet Wiki Summit. I’ll be looking for more similar opportunities to be involve in the community, not only to share my knowledge, but also to enhance my communication and presentation skills.

Also, since I’m working with data & BI on a daily basis, I find it natural to learn more on Analytics using Big Data and Machine Learning and ultimately work on apps where I will apply those learnings and showcase this during any upcoming events to demonstrate the capabilities of Machine Learning and Big Data.

Therefore I'll have more wiki articles to come in these areas soon. When time allows, I’m also testing Windows 10 and its SDK as I’m also participating in the Windows Insider Program.

 

What is it about TechNet Wiki that interests you?

It’s learning from real-world experiences from people around the world. There are very experienced people contributing and we often find solutions to common problems or just ways to do things better.

Moreover, the collaboration among the members is awesome where the most experienced members are always helping in improving the content and articles.

It’s also nice to have Microsoft employees around providing their feedback on articles.

On what Wiki articles do you spend most of your time? What are your favorite Wiki articles you’ve contributed?

I write mostly about the problems I face during my day-to-day work and the solutions I came up and also on the new technologies I’m interested and learning.

It’s hard to pick a favorite article and all of them have been crafted with the same level of passion, I’ll leave it to the community to decide which one is their favorite J

What could we do differently on TechNet Wiki?

I think that the portal is a bit slow and the wiki editor can be improved.

Also, I feel there’s not enough awareness about the TechNet wiki.

We could certainly find a way to amplify the different post within the different social media channels to create more awareness of the Wiki and its competitions.

 

Who has impressed you in the Wiki community, and why?

Ed, Durval and Pete, you are doing an amazing work for the wiki. I know it’s not easy to find so much time to dedicate to the community. I would like thank you for the great job you are doing!

The other wiki members who impressed me are Sara Silva, Andy ONeill, Jaliya Udagedara, Saeid Hasani and Geetanjali Arora. It’s always a pleasure to read your articles.

 

I also enjoy having quality time with my parents, girlfriend and family and I thank them for all their support.

If you feel like contributing, just do it!

  I agree with your points regarding improving the TechNet WIKI: it should be faster and the editor should be improved, but most of all the that there’s not enough awareness about the TechNet wiki.
