MetaVis Announces Office 365 and SharePoint Permissions Management Tool
MetaVis Technologies, Inc. today announced MetaVis Security Manager for SharePoint and Office 365, which allows users to analyze and manage security permissions, groups/users and levels across multiple on-premise or hosted SharePoint site collections and farms.

Office 365 in a Private Cloud
So if 365 doesn't fit your plans, then Fujitsu has an alternative. It is launching Office 365 as a private cloud service, with configurable service levels, different security certification, and a UK-based data centre.

Yahoo, Bing Beat Google in Search Success Rate
Even though 66 percent of all searches in July were conducted using Google’s search engine, more than 80 percent of searches conducted on both Yahoo and Bing were successful, compared to only 68 percent of Google searches.

Are Google's Best Days Behind It?
Privacy advocates accuse it of running roughshod over individual rights. As a result, it's becoming more cautious and risk-averse. But worst of all, as it grows ever larger and more cumbersome; it may be losing its appeal to the highly educated, impassioned workers that power its internal knowledge economy.
