Excel Services and Excel 2003

* Excel 2003 cannot be published on Excel Services,,,

* Only excel 2007 can be published on Excel Services,,, 

if you have a file with excel 2003 format the web feature is not enabled for it and thus, cannot be view on excel service,

Workarounds:

if you want to view your excel file on excel service just save it on xlsx format and deltete the old format,,,

now you can publish it on excel services,,

for big amount of files, you can just write a code that:

 - Access all the desiered sites...

 - Connect to all xls files

 -Convert them to xlsx,,

 -Publish them again

    Has anyone written such code to convert xls to xlsx? Or is there any sample code anywhere?

    In my file analyzing my investments, I use the Data Connection "MSN MoneyCentral Investor Stock Quotes" to pull in current stock quotations. How can I get a Data Connection to pull in the current quote on a stock option, e.g. SPX101016P01050000 ?
