Blog Traffic

You know, I've noticed that since I've opened this blog, I get a lot of traffic from people I don't know.  In fact, all the traffic I get is from people I don't know.  I used to have an LiveJournal and hardly got any traffic at all.  Strange...wonder where all the traffic comes from?  I really like the fact that I get random traffic because so many people have been helping me out whenever I ask a question, but I'm just wondering how everyone comes across my little corner of the web.  :)

http://blogs.msdn.com maybe? I browse that site many times a day and always check out the latest updated blogs. That way I end up commenting on tons of people's blogs who I dont know :)

Yeah, I found that...and I think I get what the purpose of rss feeds are, but how do you use it? That's the part that's really confusing me.

Ahhh, well you need an application to use RSS feeds. BTW I found you from the Main Feed as well. Once you use these apps and liek put your feed in there. See how they work it is similar to reading email and so on.

Is what I am using now. you can download it, free it is opensource C# and several guys from the MS team are the developers of it.

    Before RSS Bandit I used

    http://www.sharpreader.net/
Which is another C# product not open sourced but very rock solid.

I only moved to RSS Bandit becuase I could get into the code and make tweaks to it to act exactly how I wanted.

Oh and one more thing, when you get this here are some feeds you may like. you should be to just drag these links into the feed side of either RSS Bandit or sharpreader

    ;-)

Slashdot of course news for nerds
    http://slashdot.org/slashdot.rss
    Schneier Security blog
    http://www.schneier.com/blog/index.rdf
Microsoft blogs heh have your pick. but I recomend using the main feed in the url above for a while till you pick out some people you like.
    And of course Dilbert Daily
