I just posted a blog entry on the main drivers behind CTL in TAM v3.0. You can check it out at IST blog site.

What is actually the difference between the "SDL Threat Modeling Tool" and "Threat Analysis and Modeling"? After using TAM for a couple of projects I realized that there is a new tool, however with not quite the same functionality. Are these tools supposed to co-exist or is the first one intended to be a replacement for TAM? Why do you guys not merge these tools? Thanks for your feedback NikAnonymous

We are evaluating the same tools here as mentioned above and we are wondering too. Why not not merge the two. In fact Threat model is such a growing concern for development now, why is it taking so long a tool that will do it all?Anonymous

You know what would be great ? Merging the ability of threat modelling tool which allows the drawing of DFDs together with the threat analysis would be great.Anonymous
