Hi Paul; Downloaded a copy today and tried to install on 32bit Win7. Getting following error: The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running. Check you conuters system information to see whther you need an x86 or x64 version of the program then contact the software publisher. Has the installer mistakenly been targeted for 64bit Only? Kind Regards DaveAnonymous

Hi again Paul; I am just wondering if there is any information on when (and if) MS is planning on releasing a run-time for HV1. From a development perspective, it would obviously be nice to finally move away from CHM, however this is still currently not possible, due to the fact that many clients will not have VS installed. Form a development perspective, there is obviously considerable work involved in rewriting all interal calls to a newer help platform, yet this is a task that we can not implement, until we know that there is a runtime available. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Kindest Regards DaveAnonymous

Thanks everyone for the comments on 32 vs. 64-bit. I'll check into that ASAP. Dave, re: a new Help runtime, we're gradually pushing towards that direction. I'd say it's looking more promising at this time, but we're still quite some way off till we'd be able to announce anything.Anonymous

For those who have been having trouble with the initial download - we have rebuilt it and tested on x86 (32-bit) platforms and the issue should be resolved now. Please retry downloading and let us know if you run into any problems.Anonymous

Hi Paul, Can you PLEASE provide a timeline for when/if this Help platform will be made available to all Windows users? We waited for years to see whether you would release Help 2.0 technologies and Vista Help technologies to the public, but you never did. We are desperately looking for something to replace .chm files because folks can no longer view them over the network. Having to provide hundreds of Help files to development and customers rather than distributing a single compiled Help project file has been extremely frustrating and problematic. Help authoring tools that rely on your underlying Help technology need the technology to provide writers with a more robust authoring solution. Do you have plans to release this, and if so, when??Anonymous
