Excel 2013 PowerPivot or PowerView add-ins are not available

We have had reports of the Microsoft Excel 2013 PowerPivot or PowerView add-ins not loading in the ribbon.

When users then try to add the add-ins (File > Options > Add-ins) by browsing to the .dll’s in the COM dialog, they are not added as expected.

This problem can occur when using tools for migration, such as AppSense, and all personalization settings are not captured.

RESOLUTION:

Follow the steps in the article below to allow Excel to rebuild the registry keys that are necessary for these add-ins.

I have this problem but neither of the HKEY Current userlines for Win 8 are there. This problem has existed for 2 of 3 my PC's since installation. The other 1 has no issues. Have made several calls to MS without luck (transferred many times - see Issue No# 1231686119). Where to for here???? Any help would be appreciated.

Please help. I find the add-ins for Power Pivot and Power View on options. I enable both of them but just Power Pivot becomes available. Power view is nowhere to be found in the Insert ribbon or anywhere else!

I am experiencing the same issue as Eric from June 29 2016, Power View and Power Pivot both loaded OK but no Power View tab is available/displayed on the ribbon, however if looking at Excel Options\Customize Ribbon the Power View tab is visible and selected as though on display but of course it is not. Also, if a file already has Power View worksheets and one of these has the focus, then the Power View tab is displayed on the ribbon and is fully functional, so will allow the creation of new Power View worksheets in the file, but, as soon as the focus moves to a non Power View worksheet or if in a file that has no pre-existing Power View worksheets then the tab is no longer displayed on the ribbon. This is all happening in a networked environment with a 100% distribution of Excel 2013. It is not machine specific but is true across the network. Please, can anybody offer any enlightenment?
