Your Communications Platform
As we embrace today's connected world we must also keep up with how colleagues are doing with projects, day-to-day work and stay in-touch with our managers. Especially within Microsoft where we have extended teams (virtual teams) and external partners, the only way we can work is by leveraging our own products and services to keep everyone connected and keep your data secure.
You might have seen a new feature to Office 365 named Microsoft Teams, this provides the facility to store, keep and track conversations within different teams and channels. For example within my team we have a variety of different channels split up into logical discussions boards; from learning from each others experiences out in the field, such as technical issues for a specific customer or to discuss new features and how to adopt them.
Providing the right tools and features to your teams is critical to not only being more productive, achieve more but also reduce cost from having 3rd party add-on solutions like voice bridges. Think about a time you had to trawl through your email to locate dial-in information for a meeting that someone sent you weeks ago, or track a persistent conversation in email about a specific project.
Skype is the heart of communication, literally! Your one place on any device to connect you with the right people. Have a look a just some of the benefits of using its built-in features, for example if you already have Lync or Skype for Business today, are you aware of Skype Meeting Broadcast and pure cloud voice?
