The Official Wall Street Journal App for Windows 10 is Available Today

Today, Microsoft announced the availability of the official Wall Street Journal app for Windows 10. We couldn’t be happier bringing the winner of 36 Pulitzer Prizes for outstanding journalism to our Windows ecosystem. The Wall Street Journal includes coverage of U.S. & world news, politics, arts, culture, lifestyle, sports, health and more. It’s a critical resource of curated content, complete with breaking news streams, interactive features, video, online columns and blogs. Published by Dow Jones, The Wall Street Journal has been a trusted name since 1889 for unparalleled analysis and unique reporting informing the decisions that drive the world forward.

The new WSJ app is an immersive digital news experience modeled after the iconic Wall Street Journal newspaper. It brings you the latest news, as well as expert commentary and analysis from around the world, with enhanced features and visual storytelling that bring the “Journal" to life. And it’s all delivered through a cleaner, simpler interface so you can find the news you need, anywhere you need it.

Windows 10 features include:

  • Support for multiple form factors
  • Uses Continuum to extend the app experience from small screens to large displays without having to write multiple apps.
  • Live Tiles
  • Notifications
  • Continuum companion experiences

The app provides an impressive visual experience with photo slideshows, full-screen video and interactive graphics. Its optimized performance delivers fast load times. Streamlined navigation is consistent with the structure of the paper, while offering quick access to breaking news and analysis. And it provides multiple ways to read. You can read digital versions of the U.S., Europe and Asia print editions as well as the latest news from WSJ.

Ring in the Holidays with one of the world’s most accredited newspapers on all your Windows devices. It’s an exciting week as we continue to add the best apps and features to the Windows platform.

Still no offline mode like the iOS app has? I prefer to read the Journal on my morning commute on the train.

To clarify my previous comment, I am aware that the new app allows downloading of the individual articles and even full sections for offline reading. However, a feature that downloads my entire paper (using my paid subscription account) every morning, similar to the iOS app behavior, without me having to manually download each section that I want to read on the train, would be very helpful.  Thanks

I do not see a way to delete the offline content after I am done reading it. Wonder how it gets deleted.
