FIM 2010 R2 SP1 Reporting Failure SCSM 2012 SP1 / You Must apply patch

I am sure plenty of you have seen the reporting error when you install FIM 2010 R2 SP1 , On a SCSM 2012 SP1 , That you must apply the 2010 hotfix. never fear we have a fix:

If your installing from SP1 bits please use the following steps :

OOB Environment:

Windows 2012

SQL 2012 SP1

SCSM 2012 SP1

SharePoint Foundation 2013

Reporting

When you install FIM Reporting on a new server that has Service Manager 2012 SP1
installed, follow these steps:

1.
Install the FIM 2010 R2 SP1 FIMService component. To do this,
clear the Reporting check box. 2.
Upgrade the FIMService installation to build 4.1.3451.0. 3.
Run the change-mode installation for the FIMService, and then
add Reporting.

    How did you get around the issue of not having the correct installation media to do the change-mode install?

    +1 Still seeing this when attempting a change-mode install on 4.1.3613.0
