SQL Server 2005: Database Maintenance Although many of the concepts of database maintenance in a SQL Server 2005 Environment remain the same as with previous SQL releases, there are several new features. Database snapshots provide a way to revert to a point of consistency, while partial restores allows users to access unaffected files and pages. You can now continue the backup and restore operations after a failure and configure fast recovery during crash recovering and mirroring failover. It is now possible to verify the integrity of data pages during backup and restore operations. Come, hear about all of these and see some of these features in action with me!Speaker: L Srividya
