Lend Me Your Kids for an Hour and I’ll teach them to Code!
It really only takes an hour – some of my upcoming events are a bit longer though, so do read the details below.
Seriously, I am running a series of “Teaching Kids Programming” events in March and April. Kids ages 10 and up are welcome to attend any of these FREE events. Just let me know the child’s name/age and which event (by sending me email via this blog) and we’ll get started. Here’s the event list:
THIS Wednesday, March 24 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm at the Microsoft Store in Mission Viejo, CA – Introduction to Programming with Small Basic
Friday, April 2 from 9am to 3pm at National University in San Diego (girls only for this one – DigiGirlz) – Introduction to Programming with Small Basic, Kodu, T-SQL and Lego Mindstorms
Friday, April 9 from 9am to 3pm at Microsoft office in Irvine (girls only for this one – DigiGirlz) – Introduction to Programming with Small Basic, Kodu, T-SQL and Lego Mindstorms
Friday, April 16 from 9am to 3pm at Microsoft office in LA (girls only for this one – DigiGirlz) – Introduction to Programming with Small Basic, Kodu, T-SQL and Lego Mindstorms
Friday, April 30 from 1pm to 5pm at New Horizons in Culver City – all kids ages 10 or older welcome – Introduction to Programming with Small Basic (extended class)

Wow, I've got an 11 year old that's really sharp and has set up several "Play" web sites. If you are ever in the portland area, I'd love to get her to your event. chuck
