Here's another Operations Manager 2007 issue you might want to keep your eyes open for:

Symptoms: When attempting to deploy a System Center Operations Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 agent the deployment succeeds but the HealthService fails to start with the following Service Control Manager event logged:

Description:          The OpsMgr Health Service service terminated with service-specific error 3 (0x3).

Cause: The role to which the agent had been deployed was an Operations Manager 2007 Standalone Operations Database role which has not had Operations Manager 2007 SP1 applied.

Resolution: Uninstall the Operations Manager agent from the database server role, then apply Operations Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 to the server by running SP1Upgrade.exe from the Service Pack 1 upgrade media.  Once Service Pack 1 has been applied to the server, re-deploy the SP1 agent.
