RDP copy-and-paste not working
In Windows 2008, Windows Vista, Windows 2008 R2, and Windows 7 you may experience issues with copy-and-past in a RDP session between client and server or server and client. If you need to allow copy-and-past functionality Disable the Do not allow clipboard redirection group policy.
Do not allow clipboard redirection
Description:
Specifies whether to prevent the sharing of clipboard contents (clipboard redirection) between a remote computer and a client computer during a Remote Desktop Services session.
You can use this setting to prevent users from redirecting clipboard data to and from the remote computer and the local computer. By default, Remote Desktop Services allows clipboard redirection.
If the status is set to Enabled, users cannot redirect clipboard data.
If the status is set to Disabled, Remote Desktop Services always allows clipboard redirection.
If the status is set to Not Configured, clipboard redirection is not specified at the Group Policy level. However, an administrator can still disable clipboard redirection using the Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration tool.

You can run the following commands on your remote machine one by one. Taskkill.exe /im rdpclip.exe Rdpclip.exe This is a temporary fix, alternately you can use an online copy paste toil, its great. www.letscopypaste.comAnonymous

Svr2008r2.
The Group Policy edit you listed fixed my problem. "Not Configured" was blocking this and "Disabled" fixed it.
Thank you much!!!Anonymous

Copy and Paste is not working on my Remote Desktop Connection… what’s wrong?
So what do I do when clipboard stops working?
Luckily fixing the issue is pretty straightforward and involves a few simple steps.
1. Load up task manager (right click taskbar and select Task Manager)
2. Go to the Processes Tab
3. Select rdpclip.exe
4. Click End Process
5. Go to the Application Tab
6. Click New Process
7. Type rdpclip
8. Click OkAnonymous
