As you said these OS are no longer supported therefore they have not been integrated in Hyper-V 3.0, but you could still use HYper-V 2.0 from Windows Server 2008 R2 simulating Windows 2000 SP4.

What about Windows 2000 and Windows NT 4.0 ? I know those OS's are out of life cycle support, but I would like to have a Lab to simulate a migration for a large customer I have, and using Win 8 I am unable to install any of those 2 OSs. Thanks Eduardo

As he said, you still need to test old OS, they are still being used in production. And it would be nice to test migration scenarios in a lab environment. And vSphere has support for it so why not Hyper-V?

Using vmguest.iso from Hyper-V 2.0 are able to simulate Windows Server 2000 SP4 in Hyper-V 3.0. Best Regards, Low CL
