Known Issues after Installing WSUS Update KB2720211
Few issues have been encountered after applying WSUS update KB2720211 on Small Business Server 2003 (If WSUS 3.0 is present), Small Business Server 2008, and Small Business Server 2011 Standard. Are you guys serious? Ripping off entire WSUS , entire database , extra load of administrative work , clients complains , updates not installing even after ripping entire WSUS , hours and hours of time wasting with your support because they are incompetitive and keep searching themselves what needs to be done,breaking things and then keep posting the solutions all over the web just because you guys post apologies and solutions when customer complains( WIndows 7 Sp1 update is another example) ? Is this what you described as FEW ISSUES? Oh come on it's a global shame .Anonymous

Agreed. I have put 10+ hours into this issue and one of my clients has paid another 10+ hours. Thats over $1000 to correct an issue that you are barely acknowledging!! Total Shame! You should be contacting all customers with SBS2011 and assisting with the installation of this update, so that they don't have to pay someone to rebuild the product that you broke! A very Frustrating situation.Anonymous

Dear Glad - not everyone has been impacted by 2720211. Next, it's not just SBS 2011 that has been impacted. This is a WSUS issue so it can impact SBS 2003, 2008, 2011 and anyone running WSUS in general. It appears that if you maintain WSUS well, ensure that the clean up routines are run, it should go through just fine. If you are still having issues, call Microsoft support. If they don't comp the case up front, they will comp it at the end if you ask them and indicate this issue is related to a security advisory.Anonymous
