SQL Server 2005 Migration Announcement at SAPPHIRE Vienna

Microsoft and SAP announced at SAPPHIRE in Vienna last week that they extend the alliance for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and that they continue with the collaboration in order to help customers to lower the total cost of ownership and to increase business agility. In order to help customers to migrate their SAP environment to SQL Server 2005 Microsoft and SAP will build a joint lab in Walldorf to generate, test and publish migration best practices for customers migrating off of alternative databases to SQL Server 2005. In addition Microsoft and SAP will offer migration services from SAP Consulting and 3rd party Service Providers. This program will help customers unlock the value of the joint partnership and make the most out of their investment in SQL Server and SAP.
