Office Business Application/VSTO Starter Kit: Integrating 2007 Office System with SAP Using VSTO 2005 SE

The VSTO team developed a Starter Kit for SAP integration into Office 2007. They published the documentation at https://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb498189.aspx, here you can find the documentation for the Starter Kit and you can also download the Start Kit. Steve Fox from the VSTO team used the SAP NetWeaver Sneak Preview ABAP and the Flight Data Model which is available in the Sneak Preview for the Starter Kit so if you don’t have access to a SAP System you can simply download the Sneak Preview on https://sdn.sap.com for taking a look to the Starter Kit. The communication between the Office Business Application build with VSTO and the SAP system is developed using the Web Service Interface of the SAP system. The Starter Kit uses Excel 2007 and PowerPoint 2007 as well as SQL Server Express Edition as an ancillary data repository. You can browse through available lights in the SAP system and you can create Flight Customers in the SAP system as well as booking flights. The Starter Kit should give customer the chance to see what they can do with VSTO and how easy it is to develop Office Business Application which connects to the Line of Business systems within the company.
