Silverlight (formerly wpf/e) announced at NAB

I was going to post how excited I am to see a cool product name like Silverlight follow a somewhat confusing code name (wpf/e) but Brad Abrams beat me to it here:-). Here is a link to the press release for Silverlight. Jeff Wilcox highlights some key features of Silverlight here. Other links:

Scott Guthrie, as always, has a great post with links to a Silverlight (wpf/e) slide deck and samples available for download here.

Above I mention that wpf/e is a confusing code name primarily because while WPF and WPF/e are both XAML based, the technologies target different types of applications. Useful comparison information is available at Loke's blog here.

Silverlight is very exciting technology for the Media and Entertainment industry and I look forward to sharing more information with you about Silverlight in the near future.
