TechNet flash update for Kiwi Developers TechEd tickets on sale
So who’s coming to TechEd? Around 2,500 of your peers and nearly 100 expert speakers! If you want to be a part of it, you’d better be quick - tickets are disappearing faster than nibbles at the closing drinks! This year we’re kicking off the 19th TechEd with an awesome Keynote, followed by the new TechLive event at Vector Arena on Tuesday, September 9. It’s going to be a blast! Once you’re all fired up from the inspiring keynote and have had a chance to mix with the Microsoft Experts, Industry Influencers, and our peers, we’re straight into the guts of TechEd – the deep technical sessions that put the “Tech” and the “Ed” in TechEd. Every year we have amazing speakers coming to share their knowledge with us, and this year is no exception! We have: Microsoft Experts – some of whom are busy shaping the very products we are using! We also have Microsoft MVPs who’re leaders in the community who’ve been recognised for sharing their passion and technical expertise. There’s local experts as well – maybe even someone you know! Lastly we have the customers who’ll be sharing their experiences and learnings from valuable, real world examples. To whet your appetite, here are just a few of the featured speakers you will be able to see in the flesh: Chris Jackson, Regional Architect, Microsoft (US) Track: People-Centric IT If you're still struggling with older apps and stuck on IE8, Chris, aka The App Compat Guy, is here to the rescue! His talk on "Managing and Modernizing Internet Explorer with Enterprise Mode for Internet Explorer 11" will save you. Jessica DeVita, Technical Evangelist, Microsoft (US) Track: Datacentre and Infrastructure Management So what’s this new-fangled thing called DevOps? Why do we need it? What does it mean for me, an IT Pro? Jessica knows! If you come to her session, you will too! Paulo Rocha, Enterprise Architect, Watercare Services (NZ) Track: Architecture and Trustworthy Computing Racking up more than 25 years in IT, Paulo brings a huge amount of experience in Enterprise and Solution Architecture to the table. In his session "From Motivation to Technology - Building an EA Practice" Paulo talks about building an Enterprise Architecture Practice from scratch, walking you through the first 100 days and then the first 100 weeks. Neil Peterson, Senior Premier Field Engineer, Microsoft (US) Track: Datacentre and Infrastructure Management Neil brings his deep, hands-on experience with Datacentre and Automation fields from some of Microsoft’s larger customers to his session on "Complex Maintenance Using Windows 2012 and System Center 2012 SP1 - Patching Clusters!" It’s gonna be good! As you can see, there’s stacks of great speakers that you don’t want to miss out on. Get your hands on a ticket here. If you’re just keen on the keynote and mingling and music at TechLive, you can get tickets for that too here.
