Lync 2013 Outlook Plugin updates
With the release of the Lync 2013 August 2014 client updates it looks like the Outlook plugin logic was updated. You will notice now if you update an existing or create a new Lync meeting within outlook you will get the message in Figure 1 before closing it.
Figure 1: Lync meeting warning: Please send this meeting invite before joining the meeting. Otherwise, the meeting could end abruptly if you close the invite.
It looks like this update in plugin logic is tied to this KB https://support.microsoft.com/kb/2981753. Nice to see something to assist end users in updating meetings when something changes.

The info is useful but it's a poorly worded message that doesn't require a yes / no answer. MSFT should change it so it's not confusing. - Anonymous

+1 Paul. TERRIBLY phrased, with wrong buttons and actions. - Anonymous

I searched the internet for this so that I could complain that it's a horrible dialog. Thank you. - Anonymous

This is really confusing and looks like the end user has done something wrong. Can this be changed? Thanks! - Anonymous

Well now... I am not a fortune 50 company we only fall in the top 100 but this pop up is a issue. Our users see it as a error message. Support calls on this message are causing confusion and I would like to know if there is someplace we can send the bill for wasted time. - Anonymous

I find this really frustrating. It opens EVERY time you open a Calendar item that contains a lync meeting. Not just if something has changed. - Anonymous

Second all the comments above. a/ blindingly obvious that (when amending a meeting) you need to re-send the message, b/ the wording is absolutely shocking and c/ the Yes/No button choices are idiotic
Rant over - MSFT, if you're out there, please change this message so that 1/ you can turn it off, 2/ the wording makes sense and 3/ the button choices relate properly to the text. - Anonymous

Awful implementation, is there a way to disable it?
This comes up even as I'm trying to send an update to the meeting invite. ridiculous. I'd have though MS would know how to write software by now. - Anonymous

Does anyone know what clicking Yes will do and conversely what clicking No will do? I assume Yes will send an update and clicking No will not but if anyone knows for sure. - Anonymous

Agree with everyone's comments on how annoying this pop-up message is... has anyone discovered a way to disable this from appearing? We're about to convert all our employees over to Lync 2013 with the goal of having them use Lync for all meetings, replacing services like WebEx and GoToMeeting. If this message appears EVERY SINGLE TIME a user opens or edits their meetings, we'll have riots! Microsoft, please get your act together and fix this or at least give users the option to disable the message from appearing! Thanks! - Anonymous

Agree with previous comments. Confusingly worded and completely unnecessary more often than not. - Anonymous

How can this message be turned off? The leadership of our help desk and technology readiness team is worried that this is going to generate support calls, which is money spent that absolutely does not need to be.
