SQL Server 2008 Service Pack (SP) Uninstall
Starting in SQL Server 2008 SP1, uninstall will be supported. When you install a Service Pack, an entry is added to Add or Remove Programs or Program and Features in Vista and above. The uninstall wizard is launched through this entry.
Behaviors:
- Files restored to previous version, for example:
- You install SQL Server 2008 + CU1 + SP1, on SP1 uninstall the files will go back to CU1
- You install SQL Server 2008 + SP1 + CU2 + SP2, on SP2 uninstall the files will go back CU2
