BI and Data Visualization with Silverlight
This talk will focus on effective uses of Silverlight to visualize data from different sources. You will learn how to connect custom Silverlight OLAP Pivot grids to Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services, and how to wire up rich, high performance Silverlight charting to Analysis Services. You will also see rich dashboard examples built with Silverlight, and how features like drill-down, animations and transitions can effectively communicate data in a rich, interactive dashboard. And lastly you see how Silverlight can deliver the necessary performance in real time charting and data grids.

Bios:
Jason Beres is the Director of Product Management at Infragistics. His goal is to ensure Infragistics brings innovative and customer-driven user experiences to their Windows Forms, ASP.NET, Silverlight, WPF and Java products. Beres has been at Infragistics since 2004, first as a Senior Technical Evangelist, then as Chief Technical Evangelist before graduating to his current role managing the Product Management and Evangelism teams. Beres started Infragistics’ training & consulting services which includes the User Experience Group.
Matt Van Horn is a Consultant with Services group at Infragistics, a world leader in user interface (UI) development tools and experts in the User Experience (UX) market. In his current role, Matt is responsible for working with our customers to develop innovative applications. Matt speaks regularly at user group meetings and Code Camps.
